Service Plan
Being a freelance designer slash developer requires that I wear many hats. In doing so, I provide a variety of services ranging from logo design, to converting an image or Photoshop document into a fully functional website.
Standard Package
The standard plan includes a one (1) to nine (9) page website that does not require a database or routine up keeping. Valid and semantic mark up is implemented to assure great performance and make your application search engine friendly.
Premium Package
The premium plan consists of ten (10) or more web pages and a database. Routine maintenance is free during the first year. Servicing a larger web project requires database backups, plugin updates. A copy of the backup files is provided to the client.
Training
I provide training for clients that want to deploy and manage their own web portals. This training will provide the essential skills required to successfully run your website and do much more.
Tools
Photoshop
97% of all my designs begin in Photoshop. After cultivating the idea in my head for a specific design, I usually lay it out in Photoshop first. From there I slice and optimize my graphics for the web before developing the web application.
Illustrator
Illustrator is the tool of preference when designing logos, characters and contents for print. It’s Vector based which is why it’s so great fro printing. I was actually taught how to use Illustrator before Photoshop. However, I seem to gravitate towards the latter of the two. Photoshop seems to be the all purpose tool for designers in general.
HTML – CSS
Hand coding markup and Cascading Stylesheets are an essential set of skills for any front end developer. I specialize in the use of the latest and most efficient web standards when developing. I implement a semantic technique of coding documents known as”Outline Algorithm” that greatly improves search engine capabilities.
JQuery
I implement JQuery for web enhancements, which translates to a variety of functions ranging from photo galleries (slide shows), navigation menus, minor animations and form validations.
Get Simple
Get-simple is a CMS (content management system) developed with PHP that does not require a database. It is lightweight, highly customizable and perfect for a basic or standard web portal. I can develop custom themes and convert an existing HTML template into a theme for the Get Simple CMS.
WordPress
WordPress by far is one of the most popular publishing tools for the web. It was originally developed for blogging, but has evolved into something much more. I prefer this tool simply because it is very easy for the client to understand. I also design and develop custom themes, and convert existing HTML templates into a WordPress theme.
